How to Book Your Theory Test
1. Get your provisional licence
You need a valid UK provisional driving licence before you can book. Apply at gov.uk (£34 online).
2. Book at gov.uk only
The only official booking site is gov.uk/book-theory-test. Third-party sites charge £5-15 extra for the same booking. Avoid them.
3. Choose your test centre
200+ test centres across the UK. Weekday slots are easier to get. Evenings and Saturdays book out fast.
4. What to bring
Your provisional licence (photocard). Nothing else. You can't bring phones, bags, or notes into the test room.
